Founded by Ryan Kahen, Kahen Design is a Brooklyn-born / Detroit-based design practice driven by the principles of architecture, the built environment and exploration.
Utilizing fundamental building materials and leveraging his multidisciplinary background, Ryan creates furniture and objects that experiment with and push the boundaries of materiality and processes. Simple, beautiful, and functional, Kahen Design’s mission is to make objects that are used every day and displayed within the home, blending a contemporary aesthetic with utility.
All pieces are made in Detroit, MI using modern manufacturing and traditional craft—a hybrid of digital and analog.
